We needed some way to kill Cody off because, at this point, we thought he would be in the Navy before we could film anything else off. Kind of like how we “killed” Dalbey off in Satan’s Seat with his idle hands. No one wants to be around a guy with the devil’s playthings for hands.

This is all in all the most disturbing skit we’ve ever made, the licorice alone is enough to make you gag if you aren’t careful. Olivia made her final appearance here before she moved back to Boston, which was sad enough as it is. We wanted to ‘kill’ her character off too by having her break up with me in iSaber 4, but didn’t get to it in time.

What’s funny is we had a really scary, Edgar-like person approach us with his dog while we were filming in the park. He was dirty and mildly perverted, hitting on the girls we had with us and suggesting we put our videos on YouTube. His dog went about smelling our shoes as we awkwardly tried to get him to leave.

What angered me most, however, was that he was ignorant to the fact that we were already on YouTube. Apparently nobody knows. Not even dirty vagrant perverts.

Unfortunately we couldn’t find a van for the skit, which pretty much ruins the whole thing in a sense. It turns out we don’t know anyone with vans, least of all the creepy mafia/chimo vans we had in mind. I guess we have to have some sort of flagrant error or misstep in every video, that might as well be it.

OR the fact that we ended up recording in mono again… gosh dang it all to heck in a hamper. Actually in watching this again for the first time in a long while I did a terrible job editing it. It didn’t help we were trying to film as fast as we could before we ran out of daylight, but dang. Tons – of – errors.

Interesting fact: Dirty vagrant perverts are particularly attracted to anything being shot on camera.

Slightly less interesting fact: Budge (Edgar) covered himself with mustard to look extra dirty.

VASTLY less interesting fact: if you eat enough licorice while filming the same shots over and over again you’ll get sick.

To be honest it’s my least favorite of all the videos, largely because nothing went to plan as we filmed it. Also I did a horrible job throwing the music in.  HOWEVER, it was still fun to film and Budge’s favorite character, Edgar, made his debut scarring the screen forever.

All in all a B- at best as far as our videos go I’d say.

This is probably the least informative video blog I’ve done so far, but I’m going crazy trying to finish the iSaber 4 video… 26 hours in and maybe half way done. blegh…

Interesting fact: Filming with Morgan we discovered after 40 min that the sound hadn’t been recorded. We had literally just enough time to re-film each shot once.

Slightly less interesting fact: There wasn’t anything in the cooler at any point during the filming.

VASTLY less interesting fact: If you’re in Cheney and hungry, avoid that Mexican restaurant and go to Corona Village.

Ultimately I’m the only one to blame, but in Riddle Me Geek I had a character that was delightfully over the top.

This video came about when some bored co-workers built a styrofoam castle out of all the packaging materials from a new shipment of computers. They wanted to do something with it before we tore it down and asked if I’d make a video about it. Of course a few minutes later I had a whole skit written out and the castle became a minor gag.

Our cardboard horse was the best part, IMHO, and Evan’s willingness to risk life and limb to joust with John and Brand made the whole thing worth while. My willingness to risk life and limb and get tossed into the castle was not, however, worth anything as you hardly see it happen and I almost broke a rib on the cement floor. None, I repeat, none of that styrofoam broke a single ounce of my fall. It seems humans fall faster and harder.

Interesting fact: That castle stood in front of an emergency exit for the better part of a week. The fire marshal should be ashamed of himself for letting that one go.

Slightly less interesting fact: if attacked by any form of seafood it’s probably NOT a good idea to pour butter on yourself because it’s likely you’ll get eaten by a very hungry, fat American.

VASTLY less interesting fact: this video is probably still running on the big screen at the lab’s front entrance.
