Duke Garner
Also known as “Cody” Garner by his family and some of his acquaintances. Duke got his name for three reasons: 1) he loves John Wayne, 2) he loves the Blue Devils, 3) he demands it as a form of respect. For some reason he thinks “Cody” is a pathetic name and if it wouldn’t cause his mother duress I wouldn’t be surprised if he just up and changed it legally.
This is an unusual photo of Duke, not because he’s acting weird but because he’s not wearing Duke blue. Sadly he left us to join the Navy and become a pilot, which we’re proud to say looks like a real possibility at this point. Unless, of course, they find this photo of him.
